What are Cards for Life?
Cards for Life are more than just cards—they are a simple and powerful way to understand the world differently. Inspired by nature’s 3.8 billion years of wisdom, they help us shift from focusing on things, to seeing relationships.
Using these cards can:
• Deepen conversations
• Strengthen connection with self, others, and nature
• Build shared understanding and new ways of working and learning together
They are used by people around the world—coaches, teachers, designers, facilitators, and changemakers—in schools, communities, and diverse organisations.

What to Expect at This Salon
In the second full week of May, we will gather in Almere Oosterwold for an evening of shared exploration with Salon host Dave Pendle and Cards for Life guides Marieke Smets, and Monique Wisse

Wat zijn Cards for Life?
Cards for Life zijn meer dan zomaar kaarten—het is een eenvoudige en krachtige manier om anders naar de wereld te kijken. Geïnspireerd door 3,8 miljard jaar wijsheid uit de natuur, helpen deze kaarten ons om niet alleen naar dingen, maar vooral naar relaties te kijken.

Biography
Monique Wisse
Monique works at the intersection of nature, leadership, and regeneration. Her focus is on restoring the symbiotic relationship between organisations and the living world—supporting both planetary and human health. She believes that regeneration goes beyond theory: it lives in our emotions, intuition, and embodied experience. While on this journey herself, she gently invites others to reconnect with their own inner knowing and wholeness.
She is founder of beNature, offering regenerative workshops for teams and organisations, and a founder-in-residence at Fresh Ventures, where she helps address systemic challenges in the food system. Monique also stewards Symbiotic Shift, a community exploring conscious choices in life and work. Earlier, she worked internationally in project and business development roles, and now co-leads Spark for Life where she co-creates and -facilitates experiences inspired by nature for teams and organizations who want to bring back life into their organization.
Marieke Smets
With a background in social sciences, design, and systems thinking, Marieke explores how we live, learn, care, and connect in a world in transition. She researches, writes, coaches, and facilitates around one central question: If the systems around us no longer serve us—what now?
Marieke brings a sharp analytical mind and a warm, creative presence. She thrives on asking why, making complexity understandable, and inviting what if? She supports people to navigate uncertainty—together—through imagination, reflection, and grounded experimentation.
Dave Pendle Founder of Oosterwold Salons and Educational Enterprise Generative You.
Dave is synthesising almost 30 years experience in non profit enterprises with over 40 years of deep rigorous personal and spiritual development experience. Passionate about enabling others’ sense of fulfillment, impact and trust, to engage wholeheartedly with inspiration and commitment to 21st century work and life.
